San Diego Fourth of July Fireworks failure

Don't hit the big red button!!

San Diego big bay boom started with quite the bang, but ended early as the fireworks went off all at once. The night lit up with torches of hundreds of fireworks and then, silent. Those on the bay were quickly told to go home as police told everyone the show was over. But what really happened?

The jokes began to fly as we all speculated what could have cause this premature detonation. Who hit the big red button?! Someone's gunna be grounded for a really long time. I mean this is hundreds of thousands of dollars of tax payers money wasted. But boy was it fun!

Viewing locations for San Diego Big Bay Boom

The San Diego big bay boom can be viewed from so many locations, ranging from embarcadero, shelter island, downtown skyscrapers, coronado and more! Whatever you choose make sure to be their early.

Harbor Island probably has the best views from land as it is the most central compared to embarcadero or shelter island. Parking can be a nightmark or even impossible. The perfect idea would be to get a bayview room at The Sheraton Harbor Island This will provide beautiful views of the fireworks dancing over the water, as well as breathtaking views of the san diego downtown skyline.

On The Bay The best 4th of July views in San Diego are definitely on the water. I have had the privilege of sitting on a boat while water changed every color as the fireworks exploded overhead. Call a friend of see the different San Diego Bay Cruises for the best fourth of July ever!

Best restaurants for 4th of July

Any restaurant on the water! Anthony's, Fish Market, Peohe's, Bali Hai, Island Prime and C-level are all my personal favorites. The perfect fourth of July package would be to stay at The Sheraton and walk to C-Level for dinner.
