Pacific Beach | San Diego's hottest beach

Pacific Beach is certainly one of San Diego's premier beaches. Whether it is the perfect sand beaches or the great restaurants and bars that draw in the crowds, this is definitely one of the most popular beaches. Frequented most by the younger crowd of college age kids and a ton of international tourists, PB can be packed, but for good reason. There are so many things to do in PB. Whether you want to take a stroll along the endless boardwalk, sip a margarita on an oceanfront bar, or just relax in the sun this is a great beach for you. When visiting, make sure you plan in some time for parking. This can be quite challenging. If you are willing to pay you can park close, otherwise you may be walking from the neighborhoods. The bar scene is probably the best among the beaches here in san diego for young singles. Both moondoggies and PB bar and grill are some of the favorites for both San Diego State students and locals alike. Try out the bareback grill for one of the best burger joints in sandiego. Also, there are some incredible fish restaurants like the fishery and PB fish market offering the local catch. Some of my favorite sushi restaurants are also located in here, including Zen 5 Sushi which has a rolls and reggae theme, great sushi, and a cool vibe.

There are a number of options for great surf along the coast. Both the north and south side of crystal Pier are popular for shortboarders. At the end of Law Street can also be a good sand bar, putting out a nice A frame. Long board waves are found at the near perfect learning spot "Tourmaline" just north up the beach. At the end of Pacific Beach cove is PB point which can be an incredible wave.
