The good nite inn chain has some of the cheapest rooms in San Diego. The age old truth of "you get what you pay for" does apply here. This is a good clean hotel and can often offer rooms under fifty dollars! There are three locations, one in southern san diego near chula vista and the other one which is labeled Good night Inn Seaworld which can be slightly misleading as it is actually 3 miles away from seaworld. Excellence among cheap hotels San Diego? This may well be your dream come true. If you are looking for a classy vacation experience at the best price possible, give Humphrey's a look. This hotel has very clean rooms, some of the lushest hotel grounds, a high class restaurant, great polynesian feel and many of even their cheapest rooms sport bay views. Prices fluctuate greatly here but I have found rooms well under a hundred dollars on many occasions throughout the year. Also, they have a summer concert series at Humphrey's back-stage live that you can hear for free at many of the rooms. This is a great venue with classic acts like Seal, James Blunt, Colbie Callait and many more.

If your looking for a cheap hotel in North County, this is a great choice. It's clean property and rooms rate well across the net and they are close to oceanside beach and Camp Pendleton. Having seen the prices at 50 dollars and knowing that they include a complimentary breakfast this is worth looking into as an option for those looking for budget hotels near the beach.

The pearl is one of a kind among cheap hotels San Diego. This is a boutique hotel that aims to please its visitors seeking a romantic atmosphere without damaging your bank account. While the hotel itself is nothing special, the rooms have the allure that you would expect from a much more expensive romantic hotel. Location wise, the Pearl Hotel is located very centrally and close to the freeway, but has no immediate tourist attractions other than its pool. Rooms have been known to hit below 100 but you can expect to pay a little more for this romantic hotel.

Heritage Inn SeaWorld

A great cheap hotel near seaworld. The property, rooms, and service are all above average while the prices stay dirt cheap. Many hotels boast their nearness to Sea World but few are actually as close as the Heritage Inn (less than 1 mile). The hotel is also a pretty straight shot to the airport, mission beach , ocean beach and many other attractions such as Cabrillo monument and whale watching.
